Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise a range of commercial contracts, adapting existing templates or developing new language as neededÂ
- Support cross-border agreements involving employees, subcontractors, vendors, and business partnersÂ
- Conduct legal research and prepare clear, practical issue analyses and recommendations for Legal Counsel and internal stakeholdersÂ
- Assess legal risk within a defined scope and propose practical, business-oriented solutionsÂ
- Support contract execution and post-signature administration, including identifying and tracking legally significant terms and obligationsÂ
- Maintain accurate corporate, contract, and compliance-related recordsÂ
- Respond to internal legal inquiries within scope and appropriately escalate complex, novel, or high-risk mattersÂ
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory requests as neededÂ
- Contribute to the development and improvement of legal templates, playbooks, and processes as the company scales
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Law degree (J.D., LL.M., or foreign equivalent) requiredÂ
- 2-5 years of relevant legal experience, including hands-on contract drafting and reviewÂ
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate clearly across culturesÂ
- Ability to draft, review, and analyze contracts independently within a defined scope in a fast-moving environment where legal processes and documentation are still evolvingÂ
- Strong legal research, analytical, and issue-spotting skillsÂ
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters and competing deadlines with minimal supervisionÂ
- Sound legal judgment and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential informationÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cross-border or multi-jurisdiction legal matters, particularly in an in-house environmentÂ
- Experience exercising independent legal judgment in drafting, negotiating, or advising on commercial contractsÂ
- Demonstrated ability to identify legal risk and balance legal considerations with business needsÂ
- Comfort operating with ambiguity and helping shape legal approaches in a growing organizationÂ
The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, including a one-hour lunch break each day. Please note that this schedule is flexible and may be subject to change based on the employee and employer’s needs.
