Performs a range of maintenance, repair, and diagnostic tasks on various vehicles and equipment. Repairs and maintains systems and parts associated with class 6, 7, and 8 powered tractors. Diagnoses failures and repairs the vehicle's mechanical, electric, and systems. Uses hydraulic jacks to gain access underneath vehicles. Assists in the replacements of engines, transmissions, differentials, and springs. Troubleshoots the repairs of heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, and exhaust systems. Documents and repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks. Collaborates with business partners for training and assistance on complex repairs and tasks. Tests vehicles after repairs and maintenance to ensure they're functioning properly. Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. 2 years of diesel mechanic experience. Proficiency in diagnostic software.
