Position Summary

We are seeking an Account Executive to join our growing Casualty team in Phoenix. This role is ideal for an insurance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment and wants to deepen their expertise in casualty brokerage, wholesale insurance, and complex commercial risks.

As an Account Executive, you will partner closely with Brokers to support new business and renewal opportunities, market accounts to carriers, manage submission activity, and serve as a key point of contact throughout the placement process. You'll gain hands-on exposure to a diverse portfolio that includes heavy construction, excess and surplus (E&S), excess auto, hospitality, and habitational risks.

This position offers significant mentorship, training, and long-term career development for individuals interested in building a career within casualty brokerage.

Location: This role will report to our Phoenix, AZ office located at 5410 East High Street Suite 200 Phoenix, AZ 85054

Work Arrangement: Candidates will be expected to work 4-5 days in office during onboarding with the opportunity for a regular 4 day work week post ramp up period.

What will your job entail?

  • Support Brokers in managing new business and renewal opportunities across a diverse casualty portfolio.

  • Prepare, market, and submit accounts to carriers and wholesale markets.

  • Engage directly with underwriters to answer questions, negotiate terms, and facilitate account placement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners, underwriters, brokers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Review quotes, binders, policies, endorsements, and other coverage documents to ensure accuracy.

  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies, proposals, presentations, and renewal strategies.

  • Track submission activity and maintain accurate account information within internal systems.

  • Analyze coverage options and assist in identifying solutions that best meet client needs.

  • Generate reports and provide insights on account activity, market trends, and portfolio performance.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure policy issuance, invoicing, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.

  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding outstanding items, policy changes, and renewal timelines.

  • Stay informed on casualty market trends, carrier appetite changes, and emerging industry developments.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in insurance, risk management, finance, sales support, account management, or a related business environment.

  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients, carriers, brokers, and underwriters.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability and openness to ongoing coaching and development.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business systems.

  • Ability to work primarily onsite during the training and onboarding period.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of commercial insurance experience.

  • Experience supporting casualty, construction, E&S, excess auto, hospitality, or habitational business.

  • Experience within a retail brokerage, wholesale brokerage, MGA, carrier, or related insurance organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field.

  • Active Property & Casualty license.

  • Experience marketing accounts and building relationships with carrier partners and underwriters.

Licensing

  • Active Property & Casualty license preferred

  • Candidates without a license will be expected to obtain the appropriate license within six months of hire.

The target salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
