Function:

The function of the Audio QC Technician is to efficiently test, maintain, and prepare audio equipment adhering to Clearwing's leading industry standards, prior to it leaving the building and upon its return.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QC of department equipment to ensure all equipment is show ready.
  • Identify missing parts and pieces in job lists and projects.
  • Call and help pack trucks.
  • Perform repairs and updates of clearwing equipment.
  • Assist in preparing and patching racks.
  • Use audio test rig to prep, maintain, and quality control equipment.
  • Prep of Shows and tours per paperwork.
  • Recognize the need to clean equipment including cable, speakers, lights, hoists, etc.
  • Assist other company departments as work demands.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Four (4) years' working experience in the production entertainment industry or equivalent education preferred.
  • Familiarity with Clearwing audio inventory preferred.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30 preferred
  • Forklift Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

 

Physical Working Conditions:

  • Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Climb heights up to 12'.
  • Stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment.
  • Work "on-call" as needed including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours and overtime as required.
