Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer with SJHMC, you will perform diagnostic testing to support our cardiac team in their efforts to properly diagnose and treat patients. 

 

Every day,  you will perform various tests on patients with cardiovascular issues. You’ll apply your independent judgment relative to all technical imaging procedures for patients with heart failure, heart rhythm disorders, heart attack, and minimally invasive surgical procedures to major structural repairs.

 

To be successful in this role, you must have a solid knowledge of imaging equipment and proper patient positioning to produce and analyze quality electrocardiograms. You’ll continuously strive to deliver a positive experience to our patients and their caregivers. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Produce ultrasonic images to evaluate hemodynamics of heart valves, chambers and vessels
  • Ensure optimal imaging quality by performing quality checks on diagnostic equipment
  • Attends class seminars on new developments in technical improvements in sonography

Required

  • Registered Cardiac Electr, upon hire or
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire or
  • Registered Vascular Technologist, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Pediatric Echo, upon hire or
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire

Preferred

  • High School Graduate General Studies and 1-3 years One (1) year experience as an echocardiography sonographer, upon hire
