Civil Engineer – Site Design

Multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a Project Civil Engineer - Site Design to join their Phoenix team!                      

Responsibilities:

• Prepare planning/design documents in appropriate engineering discipline
  
• Perform process design calculations, prepare cost estimates, and use economic analyses for comparison of alternatives
  
• Assist/develop project scope of work, project schedules, completion of initiation paperwork, budget reviews, and schedule progress reports
  
• Coordinates projects with other Olsson teams including:
  
• Perform/coordinate design aspects of projects
  
• Direct team members on design tasks
  
• Maintains project records (correspondence, drawings, and files)
  
• Keep project managers updated on progress and problems
  
• Coordinate with clients
  
• Attends client meetings
  
• Assist with marketing/business development including writing proposals
  
• May serve as project manager on small projects
  
• Perform individual assignments on complex projects
  
• Mentor/train junior staff
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  
• 5+ years of related civil engineering experience
  
• PE License
  
• Proficient in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals, etc.
  
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D
  

Salary is commensurate with experience.
