CNC Swiss Lathe Setup Operator

Position Overview
Axian Technology, in North Phoenix, is seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Lathe Setup Operator to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role within our Swiss machining department, responsible for machine setup, production runs, and ensuring parts meet strict aerospace quality standards.
We are looking for a dependable machinist who takes pride in precision work and can operate independently in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate modern CNC Swiss lathes for production runs
Read and interpret customer blueprints and technical drawings
Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
Make necessary offsets and adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Collaborate with the Production Manager and team to meet production goals
Required Qualifications
Proven experience setting up CNC lathes (Swiss machining experience preferred)
Prior experience in an aerospace machine shop environment
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
Proficiency using inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, drop indicators, comparators, and similar equipment
Ability to hold tight tolerances and maintain consistent quality
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Pay: Up to $35 per hour, depending on experience

Work Schedule Options
Monday–Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
OR
Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
OR
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12/hr shifts
