At Allen Industries, we build incredible signs and architectural products that are shipped nationwide. Before those products leave our facility, they need someone who knows how to protect them.

That's where you come in.

We're looking for a Crater who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and understands that a great product isn't finished until it's packaged safely and arrives damage-free. If you like building, working with tools, and staying active throughout the day, this could be the perfect role for you.

As a Crater, you'll build custom shipping crates and packaging solutions for signs, architectural products, and specialty materials. You'll use woodworking equipment, hand tools, forklifts, and problem-solving skills to ensure products are protected and ready for shipment across the country and around the world.

What You'll Do

• Build custom crates, skids, and packaging for finished products
• Use saws, drills, nail guns, banding equipment, and hand tools
• Load, secure, brace, and protect products for shipment
• Read shop drawings and measurements to create proper packaging
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
• Label, prepare, and stage shipments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Help ensure products arrive in perfect condition to our customers

Key Qualifications

• Construction, carpentry, crating, shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift, move, and handle large materials safely
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
