Peddler's Son is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Routing Coordinator to join our Operations team. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating daily delivery routes, maximizing fleet efficiency, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service through accurate, timely deliveries.

- Full-time
- Shift: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., based on operational needs.
- Â The work schedule will be assigned between Sunday and Friday, based on business and operational needs.Â
- Â Plan and coordinate daily delivery routes for all delivery drivers.
- Optimize delivery schedules to maximize fleet efficiency while meeting customer delivery windows.
- Coordinate route sequencing based on delivery priorities, truck capacity, and unloading requirements.
- Develop staging plans to maximize truck space utilization and loading efficiency.
- Communicate staging plans to warehouse loading supervisors to ensure accurate order loading.
- Prepare daily route sheets, driver manifests, loading sheets, and weekly routing schedules.
- Update routing schedules and documentation to reflect daily operational changes.
- Prepare special delivery instructions and customer-specific requests for drivers and warehouse personnel.
- Assign run-back orders to the appropriate drivers based on geographic delivery areas.
- Review previous day's routes to identify discrepancies, improve efficiencies, and recommend routing improvements.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, customer service, sales, and leadership to resolve delivery issues.
- Assist with additional transportation and logistics duties as assigned
Requirements
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in transportation routing, logistics, dispatching, scheduling, or a related field.
- Experience in food distribution, warehouse operations, produce, or transportation is preferred.

- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and analyze routing data.
