Electrician Apprentice (TSMC Project)

Position Summary

MICU is seeking a motivated Electrician Apprentice to support electrical installation activities on large-scale semiconductor construction projects throughout the Phoenix area. This position will work alongside experienced electricians, foremen, and supervisors to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyman and Lead Electricians with electrical installations.
• Pull, route, and terminate electrical wiring and cables.
• Install conduit, cable trays, supports, and electrical equipment.
• Assist with panel installations, equipment hookups, and device terminations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Support commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities as directed.
• Perform material handling, inventory tracking, and jobsite organization.
• Complete assigned tasks under the supervision of licensed electricians.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an approved Electrical Apprenticeship Program.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction practices.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use basic hand tools.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Reliable transportation to project sites.

Preferred

• Previous construction or electrical experience.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, or semiconductor environments.
• Basic blueprint reading experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and active construction environments.
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms.

Work Environment

• Semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
• Active commercial and industrial construction sites.
• Cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
