Job DetailsJob Location: Phoenix, AZ 85021Position Type: Maricopa AmbulanceJob Category: Automotive MechanicalDefinition: Primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of all company vehicles. Responsible for completing repairs, adjustments and preventative maintenance service and checks on company vehicles in accordance with prescribed PM policies and procedures.  Responsible for accurate record-keeping of all services and repairs completed. Responsible for alerting the Maintenance Manager for any suspected or confirmed abuse of company vehicles/equipment. Responsible for facility and ground maintenance as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Complete preventative maintenance checks and services on all vehicles. Respond to road calls as needed. Remain abreast of changes and trends in the industry. Accept other associated responsibilities and projects as assigned.     Job Responsibilities Related to Patient Privacy: The incumbent is expected to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the Company’s privacy policies, procedures, practices, as required by federal and Arizona law, and in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health care provider.  Failure to comply with the Company’s policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or association with Maricopa Ambulance Service. The incumbent may NOT access protected health information. The incumbent is encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding the Company’s policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of that policy to the Chief Compliance & Professional Standards Officer. The incumbent is expected to actively participate in Company privacy training and is required to communicate privacy policy information to coworkers, students, patients and others in accordance with Company policy. QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Knowledge of methods, material, tools, and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment: operating principles of gasoline and diesel engines and of mechanical repair of vehicles ranging from passenger cars to in the one (1) ton category. Using and caring for tools and equipment used in automotive and mechanical repair work; maintaining detailed and routine records. Ability to work well with others. Ability to communicate effectively in both a written and oral manner. Ability to maintain a good driving record. Ability to strictly adhere to established safety policies and guidelines. Currently possess a current valid driver’s license. Must furnish own tools. Must be available 24 hours a day. Must keep a clean and safe working area.   Physical Requirement: Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods. Ability to use a variety of Office Equipment. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 Lbs. Ability to use a variety of tools and machinery. Ability to perform various physical labored intensive tasks. Has quick reflexes and superior safe driving ability. No emotional, mental, nervous, organic, or functional disorder likely to interfere with safe emergency driving and operation of automotive repair machinery or tools. No impairment of use of foot, leg, hands, arms or other structural defects or limitations likely to interfere with safe driving and operation of automotive repair machinery or tools.
