Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience while efficiently managing front-desk operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Patient Interaction:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer and direct incoming calls, emails, and inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Verify patient information and update electronic health records (EHR)
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes
- Collect co-pays, process payments, and issue receipts
- Assist with insurance verification and prior authorizations
- Manage referrals and coordinate with other healthcare providers
Operational Support:
- Ensure smooth daily front-office operations
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff and providers
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support administrative tasks as needed to improve clinic workflow
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role (preferred)
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
