We are seeking talented individuals to join our Government Human Services Consulting (GHSC) team at Marsh People and Investments. Interns will spend their 10-week internship in either Phoenix, AZ, Minneapolis, MN, or Seattle, WA. This is a hybridĀ roleĀ that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Medicaid is a government-sponsored health insurance program in the United States designed to provide healthcare coverage to low-income individuals and families. As a consulting firm specializing in Medicaid, Marsh People and Investments' GHSC teamĀ assistsĀ state governments inĀ optimizingĀ their Medicaid programs. Our team plays a vital role in managing and analyzing Medicaid claims data to enhance patient access to care, improve cost efficiency, and elevate the quality of services provided to these individuals. We will count on you to:Ā Ā 

AssistĀ in the management and analysis of Medicaid claims data toĀ identifyĀ trends and insights that drive improvements in healthcare access and quality.Ā Ā 

Support the development of analytical models and tools that evaluate cost efficiency and effectiveness of care delivery within the Medicaid program.Ā Ā 

Collaborate with team members to prepare reports and presentations that communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.Ā Ā 

Participate in projects aimed at helping state governments maximize their Medicaid coverage and budgetĀ utilization.Ā Ā 

Engage in data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analyses.Ā Ā

What you need to have:Ā Ā 

Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, data science, economics, mathematics, statistics, publicĀ healthĀ or a related field    

Status as a currently enrolled student; candidates should have an expected graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028Ā Ā 

MinimumĀ GPA of 3.0 / 4.0Ā Ā Ā 

ExperienceĀ utilizingĀ programmingĀ languageĀ such as SAS, Python, or SQLĀ 

Legal work authorization in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
