The Grant Project Assistant of the Barnabas Program provides vital management and support for the Barnabas Program at GCU in support of the Dean, Assistant Deans, and the Barnabas Program Coordinator. This position centers on data analysis and dissemination as well as support for Barnabas student admissions and tracking, retention and success, grant reporting, and alumni tracking and networking. This position also entails responsibility for event planning and coordination, program-related communications, and pastoral/ecclesial networking.
The Barnabas Program is funded by the Kern Family Foundation. This position will provide capacity and oversight during the duration of the Kern Family Foundation grant to Grand Canyon University. The grant commitment dates are July 1, 2020 through July 15, 2027.
What you will do:
- Gathers, analyzes, and disseminates data related to key performance indicators for the Barnabas program and Barnabas students in order to improve student retention and success.
- Gathers, analyzes, manages, and disseminates data to the Program Coordinator and college leaders in support of student placement, Barnabas alumni tracking, and church relations.
- Processes and prepares institutional data and reports in compliance with required grant reporting.
- Facilitates the Barnabas program admissions process, including external applicants and internal transfer students, reporting progress at regular intervals.
- Communicates key information to students, alumni, and church partners in support of programmatic goals, student retention and success, and church-related networking.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to theological studies is preferred.
- Work experience in an educational environment supporting theological and ministerial studies or church-based ministerial experience.
- Must be able to sign and teach in accordance with the university’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Positions Statement and the College of Theology Covenant.
