MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED PREFERRED EDUCATION: Forklift license MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: At least 1-3 years in a manufacturing environment. Previous extrusion experience and knowledge of plastic sheet extrusion process a plus. TASK LETTER CODE PRIMARY DUTIES (Are the essential job tasks or primary responsibilities that the individual who holds the position must be able to perform unaided or with the assistance of an accommodation. 1 Organizes and stages the regrind material for processing. 2 Prepares plastic for recycling. 3 Removes plastic from production lines. 4 Stages material for upcoming jobs. 5 Properly identifies regrind material. 6 Identifies material types that have been properly marked. 7 Maintains complete and accurate records of all activities. 8 Loads material into grinder and grind into pellet form to be used for reprocessing into sheet form. 9 Includes a common knowledge of required hand tools and equipment, and a basic knowledge of safety practices, conduct, cleanliness, good housekeeping and equipment care. 10 Loads, unloads and moves material within or near plant, yard or work site. 11 Performs any combination of following duties: redoing label information on Gaylord 12 Conveys materials to or grinders to designated areas using the forklift 13 Keep own and adjacent work area clean. 14 Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned Physical Requirements The position requires: · To lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently push/pull/move palletized crates up to 450lbs by using a manual pallet jack · Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus · Ability to stand, bend, walk and use hands to grip, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high, precarious places and where sound and noise levels are loud and distracting. Employee is required to wear protective items such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
