This role builds a strong link between Human Resources and business strategy. The HRBP acts as a champion for the business and an advisor to managers and the leadership team on organizational and HR-related issues, including but not limited to, performance management, employee relations, reporting, maintaining employee records, policy and procedure administration, employment law compliance and risk mitigation to promote and maintain a high-performance culture. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.  This position reports to the Senior Director of HR.   Manages employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and performance management. Takes initiative and proactively proposes solutions to challenges and issues. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Administers various Human Resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures. Ability to promptly and thoroughly investigate complaints and provide reasonable solutions and recommendations. Provides coaching to management on a variety of issues including HR policies and procedures. Ensures confidentiality on privacy matters; demonstrates good judgment. Ensures that HR policies and practices are applied consistently and provides direction and guidance to employees and all levels of management. Establishes and maintains good working relationships with business leaders and employees and gains an understanding of operational needs. Ability to travel to company sites throughout the state of Arizona, including Northern and Southern AZ. Manages unemployment claims and represents the company during appeal hearings. Drive performance management throughout the year by coaching managers on appropriate goal setting, coaching, and feedback which culminates with the annual review process. Employs effective communication techniques with a customer service focus and spearheads projects related to developing and/or designing new or revised Human Resource programs and practices. Analyzes HR data and trends, identifies and addresses key drivers of success and people-related needs and then works with leadership to develop creative and business supported solutions. Conducts research and analysis to determine the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of current programs, policies and procedures.  Reviews and recommends revisions to programs, policies and procedures accordingly. Advises management and employees concerning compensation, benefits, employee services and training in accordance with policies, procedures and practices. Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, performance management, investigations, and policy administration. Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations, managing employee complaints, and resolving complex employee relations issues. Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, Workers' Compensation, and Arizona employment laws. Experience partnering with managers and leaders to provide coaching on performance management, employee development, corrective action, and organizational effectiveness. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information with discretion. Experience developing, interpreting, and applying HR policies, procedures, and programs consistently across an organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate HR metrics and trends and develop actionable recommendations. Experience managing unemployment claims and representing employers during unemployment hearings. Excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools. Ability to facilitate training, employee orientations, and presentations for employees and management. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with the ability to travel to company locations throughout Arizona as needed. Must pass a TB Test. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting multi-site operations. Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, social services, or other highly regulated industries. Experience with workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
