SUMMARY OF POSITION:


The Instructional Technology Specialist supports the Training & Development team by managing learning technologies,

developing instructional content, and maintaining the Online Learning Center (OLC) to deliver effective training

solutions with minimal supervision.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

ï‚· Administer OLC: user setup, course enrollment, content uploads, and system configuration.

ï‚· Maintain and troubleshoot eLearning modules across platforms.

ï‚· Generate LMS reports to track learner progress and training effectiveness.

ï‚· Develop and manage On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs for production roles.

ï‚· Provide end-user support and resolve LMS-related issues independently.

ï‚· Manage course catalogs, learning paths, and certifications.

ï‚· Collaborate with IT and vendors on system updates and integrations.

ï‚· Ensure data accuracy and compliance with documentation standards.

ï‚· Design and develop training materials: eLearning, classroom content, videos, job aids.

ï‚· Partner with SMEs and stakeholders to assess needs and implement learning solutions.

ï‚· Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM) to create effective training.

ï‚· Deliver eLearning on standards, processes, and compliance topics.

ï‚· Create assessments to measure learning outcomes and identify improvements.

ï‚· Support large-scale training events and company meetings with minimal oversight.

ï‚· Stay current on trends in instructional design and learning technology.

ï‚· Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, company policy and accepted safe work

practices.

ï‚· Perform additional related duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design or related business field or equivalent of experience.

ï‚· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator or in a related training

and development role.

ï‚· Familiarity with course design and development tools; experience with Articulate or similar eLearning software is a plus.

ï‚· Exposure to adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, or technical documentation is desirable.

ï‚· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within an LMS environment.

ï‚· Strong customer service orientation with the ability to support end users and stakeholders effectively.

ï‚· Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and projects with attention to detail and accuracy.

ï‚· Able to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to shifting priorities.

ï‚· Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong general computer skills using Microsoft Office

Suite.

ï‚· Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in accessible terms.

ï‚· Experience maintaining accurate training records and data entry.

ï‚· Comfortable navigating ambiguity and contributing to process improvements.

Provide outstanding manufacturing solutions and services that consistently exceed customer expectations.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:

ï‚· Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor

ï‚· Ability to operate a computer, mouse, and computer applications.

ï‚· Exert up to 25 pounds occasionally

ï‚· Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading instrumentation and documentation.

ï‚· Able to hear and understand spoken directions


WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:

ï‚· Approximately 90/10 office/shop floor environment

ï‚· Low noise levels in office environment.

ï‚· High noise levels while working near operating machines.

ï‚· Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts

ï‚· Possible breathing of fumes, odors, dust, and mist.
