We are passionate about delivering exceptional service to our customers while fostering a positive and rewarding work environment for our team members.   Job Summary: The Inventory Assistant reports directly to the Inventory Control Manager and supports the daily operations of the Inventory Control and Supply Chain departments. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, monitoring product availability, assisting with purchasing activities, and supporting warehouse operations through inventory analysis, cycle counting, and vendor communication. The Inventory Assistant plays a key role in ensuring efficient inventory management and continuous improvement of supply chain processes.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily warehouse cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy. Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies using SAP and warehouse management systems. Work closely with warehouse personnel to identify and resolve inventory issues. Maintain warehouse bin locations and inventory. Prepare inventory, purchasing, vendor performance, and operational reports. Assist in developing, monitoring, and analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Support inventory planning and product availability initiatives. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inventory transactions. Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments via phone, email, and in person. Participate in inventory improvement projects and process enhancements. Perform other duties as assigned by management.   Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience in inventory control, purchasing, warehouse operations, plumbing wholesale, or distribution is preferred. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidential information. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.   Physical Requirements Frequently walk throughout the warehouse and distribution center. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed. Ability to perform moderate manual labor and warehouse inspections.
