Job DetailsJob Location: West Valley - Phoenix, AZ 85022Position Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeSalary Range: $20.00 - $25.00POSITION SUMMARY: This position works directly with teens and adults with Autism (and other related disorders) to guide and assist with vocational goals, life/social skill activities, job search aide and employment retention. Increase quality of life and personal growth for each client through positive role modeling, professionalism, respect, and understanding of the clients specific needs.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide one-on-one job coaching to referred clients. Provide timely and accurate data collection regarding client progress. Provide and share supportive and constructive feedback to clients. Meet clients at their home, place of work, or in the community based on the service need. Maintain thorough communication with the HOPE Group staff, as well as individuals served. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong time management and organizational skills and follow through skills. Ability to communicate in a clear and timely manner via email, text, phone call, and verbally. Ability to work on both vocational and personal goals approved for assigned clients. A knowledge of vocational training programs as they pertain to individuals with disabilities. Strong skill in attention to documenting all details and notation. Enthusiasm and positive attitude towards all people; solid team player open to new ideas. Experience with instructional methods, case management and/or counseling experience preferred. Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing demands of the position, customer needs, and the organization. QUALIFICATIONS & POSITION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Write clear, objective, and detailed case notes documenting your coaching, feedback, and client responses. Successfully pass criminal background check. Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, or able to obtain and maintain Fingerprint Clearance Card. CPR & First Aid certification, or able to obtain and maintain a CPR & First Aid Certification. Complete all time sheets, leave slips, accident/incident reports, etc., within their stated due dates. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree (related to the field of work e.g., special education, psychology, etc.) preferred. Must have at least one-year experience providing services for teen and adult individuals with developmental disabilities.
