A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Laboratory Supervisor,

The Laboratory Supervisor leads the daily operations of the molecular laboratory, ensuring accurate, timely, and high‑quality patient test results. Each day begins with overseeing staffing and scheduling, providing guidance and training to laboratory personnel, and ensuring adequate coverage to maintain efficient and compliant operations. Throughout the day, the Supervisor manages the flow of molecular testing activities, monitors turnaround times, and troubleshoots operational issues as they arise. They oversee equipment performance, reagent inventory, and documentation to keep the laboratory organized, inspection‑ready, and aligned with regulatory and safety requirements.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (minimum requirement).
  • Minimum 1 year of high-complexity molecular testing experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

SCHEDULE

  • Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, working from our Phoenix location, after hour coverage may be required as needed to support emergency situations or critical laboratory operations, salary exempt position.
