Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assign digital design work to meet production schedules, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Oversee digital design operations, including reviewing job specifications, determining production requirements, and resolving questions with requesters.
  • Support the development of digital design demonstrations, presentations, and staff training.
  • Stay current with graphic arts technology and recommend improvements to processes, workflow, and productivity.
  • Monitor supplies, inventory, departmental procedures, and production activities in collaboration with the Manager.
  • Prepare monthly production reports and other reports as required.
  • Initiate job orders and manage workflow in the absence of the Production Coordinator.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and outside vendors regarding production, supplies, equipment, and services.

Required Experience

  • 4–5 years of professional experience in a corporate or commercial digital design environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Experience managing workflow, priorities, deadlines, and quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership, organization, time management, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust workloads based on changing demands.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Working knowledge of digital design, desktop publishing, and graphic arts production.

Software Requirements

  • Required: Experience working on a Mac platform.
  • Required: Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
  • Wide-format printing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, other departments, and outside vendors.
