Pay Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 Annually
Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Design, develop, implement and evaluate innovative learning and performance programs and strategies designed to increase satisfaction and success within a specific area/department or position, consistent with the goals and strategy of the organization..
- Identify critical knowledge, skill and performance gaps and determine appropriate learning and development solutions to increase performance by conducting training need assessments, job-task analyses, and/or content analyses, and working closely with internal stakeholders and organizational leaders to analyze results.
- Leverage operational knowledge and experiences to design, develop, deliver, and maintain training and reference materials aligned with stakeholder priorities and business needs that enhance and support training delivery for the population. This may include and is not limited to: curriculum modules, participant and facilitator guides, webinars, instructor-led courses, and online delivery.
- Develop training courses leveraging current technologies for efficient and effective training delivery and aligned with instructional design best practices and adult learning principles.
- Facilitates new hire training as well as additional job skills training through multiple channels.
- Recommend and implement the most effective and efficient learning interventions to create exceptional outcomes, drive high-performance, embrace and support process/technology changes, and constructively resolve barriers and constraints.
- Create testing and evaluations to assess the achievement of learning retention, knowledge application and business impact of learning and performance objectives and strategies.
- Maintain order and efficiency in an environment of ongoing change. Utlize business partners, team members, and other diverse resources and continually assess and improve learning experience to align with department and/or position needs. Continuously share learnings to upgrade one's own and other's work performance.
- Conduct research and maintain knowledge of new instructional design techniques, technology platforms, and latest training and developments resources by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and attending workshops.
- Successfully lead multiple, simultaneous projects under deadline pressure.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations; create a pleasant work environment by remaining professional in all interactions with customers, co-workers and leaders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications: What you need to bring
- Two (2) years experience overseeing and evaluating job performance and development of team members, including assessment of knowledge retention, application and overall performance progress, experience successfully transferring accumulated knowledge and expertise to colleagues through performance coaching and providing advice/direction to others on performing work tasks preferred. Demonstrated experience providing honest, timely, clear, specific and actionable performance feedback to others in a way that inspires growth and development while also maintaining individual self-esteem. Instructor led training design and facilitation preferred. Knowledge of adult learning principles and familiarity with best practices to achieve learner retention and application. Years of operations experience and education may be considered in lieu of training experience.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization, including senior level executives. Peer leadership and influencing traits are essential. Ability to create, maintain and update standard work process documentation. Proven successful ability to provide guidance and leadership of on the job training with team members. High level analytical thinking skills with a proven ability to prepare reports, gather data and draw logical conclusions from in-depth analysis of information. Experience preparing and delivering compelling arguments and presentations in a way that builds, impacts and influences others and successfully builds coalitions for key initiatives. Must have familiarity with the transportation industry, specifically with the area/department or position to which the role will be tied. General computer proficiency, including expertise with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel and Power point. Experience with Learning Management Systems and web-conferencing tools preferred. Ability to travel as necessary.
