Fennemore has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Legal Support Assistant to join our Resource Center in our Phoenix, Arizona office. In this on-site, entry-level role, you’ll be part of a collaborative team supporting various practice groups and departments across the firm with day-to-day administrative and operational needs. Using your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness, you’ll help keep work efficiently while providing reliable and accurate support to attorneys, legal professionals, and team members. You’ll bring a proactive, self-motivated approach to your work, along with the flexibility and willingness to learn needed to take on a variety of responsibilities and contribute to the firm’s commitment to excellent client service.

What You’ll Do

As a Legal Support Specialist, you will:

  • Prepares indexes, labels, and notebooks/binders;
  • Files and retrieves electronic and/or physical documents via the firm’s document management system and/or records department;
  • Handles routine reproduction and scanning projects;
  • Works on multiple projects while remaining organized and meeting deadlines;
  • Assists paralegals and legal administrative assistants with gathering and assembling materials in preparation for hearings, depositions and trials;
  • Overtime may be required during periods of high workload, flexibility in daily work schedule is required;
  • Adheres to departmental/Firm goals and policies; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Formal training in legal subjects and a minimum of one (1) year law office experience or equivalent education required;
  • High School diploma;
     Possess a high degree of thoroughness and accuracy;
  • Knowledge of computer operations and software programs typically used in a legal setting, including Microsoft Office programs; and
  • Develop constructive, cooperative, and professional working relationships with others, including clients, maintaining them over time.
