What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Lifeguard Supervisor is responsible for observing guests utilizing the pool slide and performing designated rescue practices as needed to ensure guest safety according to local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. Assist with maintaining cleanliness of pool areas and providing exceptional service to our guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform slide shift duties.

• Enforce slide rules consistently and fairly.

• Open and close the pool areas according to established schedule and direction from Manager and/or Director.

• Continually maintain slide deck areas to ensure cleanliness and orderly arrangement of pool, towels, and furniture.

• Interact with guests at the slide area to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded.

• Maintain Lifeguard equipment and supplies.

• Train and certify Lifeguards in accordance with Jeff Ellis and Maricopa County standards.

• Assist with the execution in recreational activities at the pool.

• Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.

• Responsible for overseeing operations and ensure they are in accordance with Arizona Biltmore policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Responsible for the professional performance of all personnel assigned to their shift and must be capable of both oral and written communication and be able to train their respective shifts in these procedures.

• Prepare and conduct daily shift briefings and is responsible for internal shift training in accordance with Department policies and standards.

• Collaborate with Manager/Director to coach and develop team members, enhancing performance and fostering professional growth.

What are we looking for?

EXPERIENCE

• 1 year of Lifeguard experience

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES

• Current Lifeguard Certificate, preferred.

• Individual must be able to meet the required pre-requisites to be able to obtain Shallow Water Lifeguard Certification.

• CPR / First Aid Certification, preferred.

• Certified Lifeguard Trainer, preferred.
