Job Description

Want to join a company with career growth opportunities? Then look no further! Nirvana Cannabis is seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations across our Arizona facilities.

Nirvana Cannabis operates multiple licensed cannabis dispensaries, cultivation facilities, manufacturing operations, and corporate offices throughout Arizona. As our organization continues to grow, we are looking for a Maintenance Manager who can lead our maintenance team, coordinate facility projects, and ensure our locations remain safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can effectively manage technicians, contractors, vendors, preventative maintenance programs, and facility improvement projects while maintaining a high standard of operational excellence.

Essential Duties

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise, schedule, and support Maintenance Technicians across Arizona facilities.
  • Provide training, coaching, and development for maintenance staff.
  • Assign and prioritize maintenance requests, repairs, and projects.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and completion of work.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and performance management of maintenance personnel.

Facility Maintenance & Repairs

  • Oversee maintenance and repair of retail, cultivation, production, warehouse, and office facilities.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs.
  • Troubleshoot facility issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance work as needed, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, HVAC troubleshooting, and general building maintenance.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed consistently.

Vendor & Project Management

  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Obtain bids and quotes for facility repairs and improvement projects.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure vendors meet company expectations and safety requirements.
  • Assist with facility expansions, remodels, and capital improvement projects.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and project documentation.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Review and approve maintenance-related purchases and expenses.
  • Assist with annual maintenance budgeting and planning.
  • Provide regular updates to Operations and Leadership regarding facility needs and ongoing projects.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all facilities remain compliant with company standards and applicable regulations.
  • Identify and correct safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain OSHA and workplace safety standards.
  • Support emergency repairs and after-hours facility needs when necessary.

Other Duties

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Knowledge of general construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and facility maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize multiple maintenance issues simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between facilities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of maintenance leadership, facilities management, or related experience required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of maintenance, repair, construction, or facilities experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree, trade certification, or related technical education preferred.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License required.
  • Experience managing multiple locations preferred.
  • Cannabis industry experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing, and working in various facility environments.
  • Ability to climb ladders and access rooftops, ceilings, and confined spaces when necessary.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried

Location: Multiple Facilities Across Greater Phoenix, Northern/Southern Arizona, and Other Arizona Locations

Travel: Regular travel between company facilities required

Schedule Requirements:

  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs require.
  • Must be available for emergency maintenance situations and facility-related urgent matters.
