Hotel Maintenance Technician

The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the hotel property is safe, functional, and well-maintained for guests and team members. This role performs preventative maintenance, responds to maintenance requests, troubleshoots building systems and equipment, and completes repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance duties. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of guest service and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
  • Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other building-related issues.
  • Inspect facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
  • Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset
