Role Summary: 

The Facilities Maintenance Tech supports the Senior Facilities Manager and Community Managers across our two Phoenix locations, Biltmore and Gilbert. This role is responsible for maintaining the upkeep, functionality, and overall appearance of our facilities to ensure a welcoming and exceptional experience for our coworking community.


Responsibilities include completing general facility repairs and maintenance, responding to reported issues, coordinating with vendors when needed, installing and moving furniture, maintaining appliances and equipment, and assisting the onsite teams with day-to-day facility needs. The Facilities Maintenance Tech plays an important role in keeping our spaces safe, functional, and looking their best for both members and employees.


This is a full-time, 40 hours per week role. We are flexible when it comes to building out a schedule but we ask that once we set the schedule this individual is reliable and dependable.


Major Responsibilities:

Facilities Maintenance

  • Patching and painting drywall 
  • Paint touch-ups 
  • Fixing furniture 
  • Hanging whiteboards 
  • Hanging TVs 
  • Fixing or installing appliances 
  • Moving office panels 
  • Moving office desks 
  • Hanging art 
  • Fixing Door Locks 
  • Moving furniture 
  • Scheduled Preventative Maintenance ie. HVAC Filters,  water filters 
  • Maintain inventory of stored items 
  • Schedule and manage temp staff, contractors, and vendors
  • Manage relationships and negotiate preferred pricing/bids
  • Coordinate approved capital projects as directed by the Community Director/Build and Procurement Team 
  • Ensure compliance with all warranties and state/federal requirements 


Ideal Experience and Skills:

  • Finish Carpentry or Painting experience is preferred  
  • Handy Man Experience is preferred. 
  • Reliable Consistent Transportation is a Must. 
    • Mileage Reimbursement provided for commuting between the two locations. 
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, follow and empathy 
  • Passion and understanding for Kiln’s mission and values 
  • Basic understanding of preventative maintenance and property repair
  • Ability to identify issues without being asked
  • Self-starter, critical eye for what needs to be done
