Materials Engineer / Metallurgical Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

Joined Alloys is seeking an experienced Materials Engineer / Metallurgical Engineer to support our aerospace manufacturing operations in Phoenix, Arizona.

The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace manufacturing and process development, with knowledge of special processes and precision manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and work instructions
  • Quote new and repeat aerospace components and assemblies
  • Support production related to:
    • Heat Treating
    • Brazing (Vacuum Furnace, Torch & Induction)
    • Welding
  • Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability and efficiency
  • Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements

Preferred Experience & Education

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience required
  • BS degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Experience with NADCAP and AS9100 environments preferred
  • Familiarity with special processes and aerospace specifications
  • Experience with machining and/or sheet metal fabrication is a plus
  • CAD/CAM experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Will train the right candidate
