The McArthur's Food and Beverage Manager directs and administers sales of food and beverage in restaurants and lounge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSāÆĀ
Hire, train, supervise, direct, coach, counsel, and evaluate staff in food & beverage operations throughout the Hotel. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff. Assign and instruct Beverage staff inĀ detailsĀ of work.Ā ObserveĀ performance andĀ encourageĀ improvement were necessary.āÆĀ
Field customer complaints by conducting thorough researchĀ ofĀ the situationĀ in order toĀ choose the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take actions based onĀ previousĀ experience and good judgement, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations. Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriateĀ actionsĀ and provideĀ accurateĀ information.āÆĀ
Develop and implement basic operating standards for Food & BeverageĀ serviceĀ in compliance with federal, state, local and Hilton's own practicesĀ as well as Forbes standards. (e.g.Ā Employee Alcohol Awareness Training and Compliance)āÆĀ
Maximize department profitability; implement effective controls of food, beverage, and laborĀ costs andĀ monitorĀ theĀ Outletās budget to ensure efficient operations, including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses. Ensure par stock levels areĀ maintainedĀ by calculating inventory, ordering, retrieving, and stockingĀ product. Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation.⯠Develop and implement cost saving and profit enhancement measures. Maintain established inventory by ordering all liquor and suppliesĀ in accordance withĀ business needs.āÆĀ
