We are located in 8 strategic states AZ, CA, CO, GA, FL, NC, NV & TX and engage our community around prevalent issues to ensure the construction of a healthy democracy and the advancement of a national Latino progressive agenda. MFV utilizes a variety of strategies to reach our community including citizenship, door to door voter education, registration and mobilization, issue organizing as well as leadership development, advocacy, accountability campaigns and litigation. Mi Familia Vota is a 501(c)(4) organization and Mi Familia Vota Education Fund is a 501(c)(3) organization. Data Manager Overview Mi Familia Vota (MFV) seeks a Data Manager to support the implementation of its data program. We are looking for a well-organized, technical, solution-oriented individual to play a key role in supporting data management processes for electoral, organizing, and advocacy work in our eight states. Candidates with previous data experience, particularly in a political campaign or other civic engagement role, are encouraged to apply.  The person should be positive, hard-working, and capable of working well in a team. This position reports directly to the MFV Chief Data and Innovation Officer. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supporting our state teams in their use of voter file and community contact data systems. This includes targeting and universe creation, administration and quality control tasks, the use of dialers, text messaging platforms, and other civic engagement and mobilization tools, and providing technical assistance as needed Developing and maintaining automated data dashboards and visualizations to provide easy access to real-time data insights Performing deep-dive data analysis to identify trends and provide actionable strategic recommendations for campaign and program teams Training staff on data management best practices, encouraging data literacy across the organization, and promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making Developing and maintaining relationships with MFV data partners Troubleshooting data support requests and flags Other duties as assigned QualificationsRequired Qualifications: At least one cycle of experience in electoral, issue, or advocacy campaigns Professional fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) is required as a bona fide occupational qualification, as this role provides direct data training, troubleshooting, and operational support to Spanish-only employees. Strong sense of ownership and resilience with respect to planning ahead, finding alternative paths when needed, and bouncing back from setbacks Proficiency with VAN, EveryAction, or other constituency relationship management tool, with at least one cycle of experience as a super-user or administrator Solid SQL skills with understanding and experience using JOINs to query databases and data warehouses Strong visualization skills with experience building reporting structures in Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar BI tools Analytical skills and experience, with the ability to translate complex datasets into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences Must have strong  spreadsheet skills, with a working knowledge of pivot tables, filters, text to columns, and creating visualization using Google sheets, Looker Studio or a similar tool. Some advanced spreadsheet skills required including familiarity with functions (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, INDEX(MATCH)) Ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively Experience conducting small group trainings and developing training materials Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences Candidates must have a willingness and aptitude to seek out and learn new technical skills. Desire to ask questions, receive constructive feedback, and grow as a data professional. Must have the ability to work irregular campaign-style hours during peak cycles.
