Position Title: Bilingual Office Assistant
Location: Archway Maryvale
Reports To: Headmaster
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Compensation Type: Hourly
Position Summary: The Office Assistant role is an exceptional opportunity to lead and contribute meaningfully to a unique organization which is changing K-12 education in this country. This role will support the daily administrative operations at the campus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage incoming calls
- Receive and interact professionally with parents, students and visitors
- Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents
- Print and distribute class schedules
- Assist with annual enrollment process to include correspondence and maintenance of the student enrollment database
- File and retrieve documents and reference materials
- Record, transcribe, and distribute incoming communications
- Receive and process records requests in a timely manner
- Collect fees and issue receipts to parents for extra-curricular activities
- Assist faculty with copying and other class preparation
- Other duties as assigned
Required/Preferred Education: Associate degree preferred
Required/Preferred Experience: 2-4 years office or school-related administrative position.
Required/Preferred Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Respond to common inquires or complaints from parents.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, co-workers, and the public at large.
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Must be able to multi-task, have the ability to organize, and be detailed-oriented.
- Must create and maintain a customer-focused atmosphere within the administrative functions.
Physical Functions: Physical functions: Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching. May be required to move or position equipment up to 15 pounds approximately.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Travel required: May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
