Responsibilities

 

  • Co-develop the manufacturing plan working with the Sr Director, Operations and establish procedures to maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
  • Promote a safety culture through training of individuals on procedures, expectations, and leading investigations of near misses and other incidents, sitewide.  Drive safety awareness through training staff on all safety processes and procedures
  • Develop and recommend budgetary needs and ensure departmental financial goals are achieved.
  • Champion and demonstrate commitment through executing and auditing current state processes; seeking opportunities for improvements and driving Continuous Improvement solutions and problem-solving methodology to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.
  • Maintain responsibility for hiring and retaining a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides growth, training, and development opportunities to employees. Ensures all performance management activities are executed in a timely manner.
  • Establish and monitor metrics and measurements of quality, reliability, on-time shipments, inventory, customer satisfaction, and financial goals.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data.
  • Partner with Quality & Regulatory department to maintain good manufacturing process.
  • Oversee the flow of materials, supplies and products through manufacturing as well as the status of the machine and equipment used, keeping senior leaders informed of special needs.

Qualifications

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Operations, Materials Management, or Engineering is strongly desired; experience in lieu of will be considered.
  • 10-15+ years of related Production Operations experience required.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience is required; supervisory skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, communications skills.
  • Must come from a Manufacturing environment.
  • Lean manufacturing experience and knowledge required.
  • A diverse manufacturing process understanding is ideal…Assembly, Injection Molding, Finishing, Machining, Heat Treating etc.
