Position Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily production operations within a fast-paced automotive remanufacturing environment. This role ensures that production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

We are seeking a self-starter who takes initiative, drives accountability, and thrives in a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate leads by example, identifies opportunities for improvement, and motivates teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output targets (e.g., units per day, efficiency goals)
  • Lead, coach, and develop production employees to ensure high performance and engagement
  • Monitor and enforce safety procedures and company policies at all times
  • Ensure product quality standards are consistently met; address defects and implement corrective actions
  • Track and report production metrics, including productivity, downtime, scrap, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Materials, Engineering) to resolve issues
  • Identify process improvements and implement lean manufacturing practices
  • Maintain proper staffing levels and assist with scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Enforce attendance, timekeeping, and workplace policies consistently
  • Support onboarding and training of new hires to ensure successful integration into production


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in automotive manufacturing or remanufacturing
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety practices
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced production environments
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Fast-paced production environment
  • May require standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift
  • Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with flexibility for overtime as needed
