This individual will be responsible for the electrical engineering and design development on heavy industrial projects; these projects are in the metals & mining industry, as well as the Power Generation, Power Distribution, Industrial, Chemical and Manufacturing industries.Â
Our ideal candidate will have their professional registration as an electrical engineer, and will have the foundations and a solid understanding of Instrumentation & Controls, to be able to read and review, sign off on prints,. Â

What does this role involve? Key responsibilities:
Perform electrical engineering design for heavy industrial projects (metal and mining facilities, power generation & distribution, Chemical, Industrial, etc) and the associated infrastructure.Â
Prepare electrical equipment specifications, datasheets, and scopes of work, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.Â
Develop proposals, conceptual designs for Pre-F, Feasibility and Detail engineering phases of projects.
Work across a continuous succession of small and large, domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle - from early concept development, feasibility studies, detailed design, construction, commissioning to operations Â
Liaise with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate and cost-effective delivery of projects.Â
Demonstrate high standard of personal safety and safety in design practices.Â

What are we looking for?
Qualifications:
A 4 year ABET – accredited bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Will have passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam (FE)
Will have passed the Principles & Practice of Engineering exam (PE),and have their professional engineering PE designation (ASPE in Arizona).Â
Will have 5 – 8+ years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer
Expert level LV power transmission and distribution systems experience is required; will have solid experience and knowledge of MV systemsÂ
Experience in an engineering design/consultancy environment is preferred; previous experience in an industrial processing and/or mining and metals environment is considered an asset
Foundations / proficiency with instrumentation and control systems in industrial applicationsÂ
Ability to safely and effectively self-manage time, priorities and activities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills, technical competence and attention to detailÂ
Must be eligible to work in the United States of America, without sponsorship
