QTS Data CentersĀ is seeking aĀ Project Manager II – DCIMĀ (Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM)Ā to be based at ourĀ Phoenix, AZ campus or one of our other larger data centerĀ campuses:Ā Irving, TX, Ashburn/Richmond,Ā VAĀ or other growthĀ sites.Ā Quality Technology Services (QTS)Ā is a leading provider of data center solutions across a diverse footprint spanning more thanĀ 9 million square feetĀ of QTS Mega Data Centers throughout North America and Europe.Ā We are expanding our corporate DCIM/Controls Engineering team as the company continues to scale.Ā

TheĀ Project Manager II – DCIMĀ effectively plans, manages, and delivers the internal DCIM projects on time and within budget. This entailsĀ facilitatingĀ communication between different team members (e.g.Ā Facility Operations, Technical Operations, external integrator partners,Ā etc), different stakeholders both internal and external to the organization, and ensuring adherence to existing company guidelines. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, experienced technical projectĀ manager whoĀ possessesĀ excellent verbal and written communication skills, and canĀ operateĀ effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional matrixed environment.Ā

RESPONSIBILITIES;Ā other duties may be assigned.Ā Ā 

  • Works with DCIM and Operations teams to complete technical discovery.Ā 

  • Applies project managementĀ expertiseĀ to ensureĀ accurateĀ andĀ timelyĀ delivery of servicesĀ 

  • Collaborates with team managers and resources toĀ identifyĀ project approach, deliverables,Ā tasksĀ and resourcesĀ requiredĀ to complete a project, specifically as it pertains to technical tasks and deliverablesĀ 

  • Develops and actively manage project plans,Ā identifyingĀ applicable phases, tasks, resources,Ā deliverablesĀ and due dates using traditional project management practices.Ā 

  • Reviews proposed changes to project plans, including meeting with stakeholders to approve and implement beneficial changes.Ā 

  • Manages multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven environment and completes projects on timeĀ 

  • ContinuouslyĀ monitorsĀ and reports on project status to Upper Management (including C-Levels), including issues, risks, and escalations.Ā 

  • Continually develops and improves internal processes and documentation within the organization.Ā 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONSĀ 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Project Management or other related field or equivalent professional experience.Ā 

  • Seven or more years of Project Management experienceĀ 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.Ā 

  • Experience building detailed technical project plans and task dependencies based on technical familiarity and stakeholder interviews.Ā 

  • Experience managing complex, strategic programs with multiple sub-projects/workstreams.Ā 

  • Experience managing projects with scope including SCADA, PLC, DCS, or other industrial control systemsĀ 

  • US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contractsĀ

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSĀ 

  • Advanced knowledge of data center/critical environment concepts, such as space, power,Ā coolingĀ and connectivity.Ā 

  • Advanced knowledge of technologies found within data center architecture, such as routers, switches, firewalls, server components, storage, and virtualization.Ā 

  • Experience with Project Management applications and visualization tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, and TableauĀ 

  • Experience in managing industrial control system platform migration and upgrade projects including Aveva System Platform and Rockwell Automation.Ā 

  • PMP certificationĀ

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability toĀ interface withĀ Senior ManagementĀ 

  • Strong facilitation skills.Ā 

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented individual with extensive experience multi-tasking across multiple concurrent and complex projects.Ā 

  • Strong communication, organization, and management skills.Ā 

  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills.Ā 

  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Ā
