Job Summary:


This position monitors and reviews all Replevin files, new and existing, to maintain a high standard of compliance according to the client’s guidelines and Blitt & Gaines’, P.C company standards. After a training process, this position will require a general knowledge of all client specific procedures, office procedures, litigation process, assist with the preparation and processing of legal documents, case tracking, and maintaining accurate records to ensure cases progress efficiently and in compliance with court and client requirements.. This position works as both a liaison between our firm and the client. The representative will review files on a daily basis, delegate direction for those files and take responsibility for the progression of those files through the litigation process while adhering to client timelines and assigned deadlines.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


All duties and responsibilities are to be completed within the required period as outlined by the department manager and work standards.


· Serves as a liaison between the firm and the client.

· Communicate with clients and adhere to client-specific standards and requirements.

· Review and intake filed pleadings and other court documents.

· Enter court orders and file documents into the firm’s system of record.

· Process correspondence and media from the client.

· Work with SLAs on Replevin placement reviews (confirm balance, interest, suit worthiness, contract terms any jurisdiction, venue, or arbitration clauses in agreements)

· Prepare affidavits in support of Replevin suits

· Prepare Replevin lawsuits

· Work with SLAs to make pre-suit recommendations on suit worthiness of replevin files to clients

· Work with SLAs to make post-judgment recommendations on replevin files to clients

· Requires effective interaction with employees of various departments, sub-departments, members of management, and client contacts.

· Format, proofread, and finalize correspondence, pleadings and other legal documents.

· Draft basic motions and notices.

· Track deadlines for legal filings

· Strong attention to detail

· Ensure file accuracy

· Perform general and support activities to assist the attorneys.

Requirements

 

Qualifications and Skills:


· 1-2 years’ experience in an administrative position in a legal, banking or business field

· Well-versed in Microsoft products, specifically Excel and Outlook.

· Effectively communicates in both verbal and written mediums.

· Must be detail-oriented and analytical.

· Must be organized.

· Must have above average reading comprehension skills.

· Must possess ability to work independently as well as in group environments.

· Collections or Creditors’ Rights experience is a plus.

· Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training, or an associate degree in paralegal studies is a plus.
