General Job Description

IES Residential is currently seeking Residential Electrician Rougher in the Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities may include and are not limited to:

  • Pulling wire through conduit and making connections to electrical panels, junction boxes and other electrical components.
  • Hot check trouble shoot
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, and building codes to determine electrical layouts and wiring requirements
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to prevent workplace accidents and injuries
  • Carry, hold, and organize materials required for completing projects.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and take direction from supervisors and licensed electricians.

  • Promptly report any unsafe working conditions or incidents to the appropriate person.

Specific Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background and drug test
  • Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) is a plus.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend, and work in tight spaces for extended periods.

  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolding) and in outdoor weather conditions.
