Retail Delivery Driver - JARS Cannabis

JARS Cannabis is hiring full-time Delivery Drivers to safely and professionally deliver cannabis products to customers. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role that combines driving, compliance, and cash handling - you'll represent JARS at the customer's door, so professionalism and attention to detail matter every single stop.

What You'll Do

• Safely deliver cannabis products to customers' homes following all state and local cannabis delivery laws
• Handle and count cash payments accurately and professionally, including collecting tips
• Communicate with Dispatch throughout your shift - confirming your route, reporting delays or issues, and getting direction on order changes
• Use in-vehicle technology and company apps to navigate your route, track deliveries, and log completed stops
• Follow strict safety protocols, including wearing a body camera during customer interactions and never entering a customer's residence for any reason
• Perform basic pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
• Assist with other duties as needed, including order staging, inventory support, and packaging

Schedule

• Full-time only - 5 days on, 2 days off, 8-hour shifts
• All new hires must have open availability to work all of the shifts listed below
  • Shifts are assigned by location and typically fall into one of three windows:
  • Opening: 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Mid: 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM
  • Closing: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Deliveries run in two-hour windows throughout the day, so expect a steady, structured pace rather than downtime between stops

Pay & Tips

• Tips are pooled and distributed based on hours worked, so your tip share reflects the time you put in, not just the deliveries you personally ran

Vehicle & Driving Requirements

• JARS provides a new company vehicle for deliveries - you will not use your personal car
• To be covered under our commercial insurance policy, drivers must:
  • Be 21 or older to work at JARS; drivers typically need to be 25 or older to qualify for coverage under our vehicle insurance policy
  • Have prior driving experience and a clean driving record in Arizona for the past 5 years
  • Pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check as part of the hiring process
• Your personal driving history is a factor in your eligibility - driving issues outside of work, not just on the job, can affect whether you qualify to drive a JARS vehicle

Physical Requirements

• Regularly lifting and carrying delivery bags in and out of the vehicle
• Frequent sitting for extended periods while driving
• Repeated getting in and out of the vehicle throughout a shift
• Walking to and from doors, porches, and apartment buildings in all weather conditions
• Standing and moving for the full duration of an 8-hour shift

Training & Growth

• New drivers complete full budtender training at a retail location near them before moving on to driver-specific training
