Description

The Sales Porter is responsible for assisting the Sales Staff to ensure our customer’s receive excellent service. This individual takes care of vehicles in the Sales department when the vehicle is not actively being shown to customers.


The Sales Porter is supervised by the Inventory Manager.


Essential Functions and Duties

  • Properly merchandise all inventory vehicles for sales.
  • Ensure all frontline vehicles are customer ready.
  • Drive vehicles from the back lot to their proper places in the sales parking lot.
  • Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform various clerical tasks as assigned by sales management.
  • Maintain a valid local area driver’s license and immediately inform management of any changes in its status.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Constructively communicate with other dealership personnel as required to satisfy customer needs.
  • Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its personnel, or customers.
  • Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards according to departmental policies.
  • Arrive at work, take breaks, and depart work at the times designated by management.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
  • Ensure that work areas and customer waiting areas are kept clean

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 18 years or older
  • Possess an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license in state of residence
  • A criminal history background check will be conducted prior to beginning employment
  • Clear pre-employment drug screen
