Job Description:
EDU-AIDs is looking for a dedicated 8th Grade Science Teacher (Self-Contained) to join a supportive school team in Phoenix, Arizona.
Your Role:
As an 8th Grade Science Teacher, you will create an engaging, student-centered classroom where middle school students develop scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. You will foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and standards-based science instruction to 8th-grade students in a self-contained classroom
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Arizona state standards
- Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction and support individual learning needs
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student growth
- Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and families to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and classroom documentation
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and other school activities
- Work full-time, on-site in Phoenix, AZ
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate with appropriate certification for Middle School Science
- Minimum 1 year of classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and instructional skills
- Passion for helping middle school students succeed academically and personally
