As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will support the Engines and Power Systems (E&PS) organization within the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) Project Engineering department. Specifically, you will primarily support an APU development project, as well as in-service APUs for USAF aircraft platforms.
You will report to the Sr. Engineering Program Manager, and work out of our Phoenix site on a hybrid work schedule.Â
Relocation support may be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet technical performance measures and project-specific process requirements.
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the assigned engineering work scope.
- Manage requirements, control scope, and execute baseline change management.
- Execute projects within budget (including capital expenditures) and on schedule.
- Utilize Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and knowledge, which are critical for U.S. Government programs.
- Achieve design-to-cost targets and design-for-manufacturability, testability, and reliability goals.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Government policies, procedures, and guidelines for new development programs.
- Communicate project health and status to stakeholders, including CBT, M&PM, and Engineering Leadership.
- Manage OEM customer relationships through effective communication, collaboration, and status reporting.
- Work closely and effectively with Repair and Overhaul Engineers to address in-service issues.
