UI Adjudicator / Benefits & Eligibility Specialist

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85007 (100% Onsite) (Tucson version: Tucson, AZ 85714)

Pay Rate: $18.61/hr W2

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Start Date: July 27, 2026 - firm start date, expedited onboarding

Duration: 8-week contract with strong potential to convert to permanent full-time employment after training

Job Description:

SunSoft Online is hiring multiple UI Adjudicators (Benefits & Eligibility Specialists) for a contract opportunity with an Arizona state agency. Multiple positions are open and no interviews will be conducted - qualified candidates are selected directly from submissions, so a complete application moves fast.

You will review applications for public assistance programs and determine applicant eligibility through interactive interviewing and fact gathering: verifying forms are complete and accurate, following up with applicants as needed, explaining rules and policies to claimants, representatives, employers, and agencies, and advising applicants on programs that may benefit them. Training is approximately 7 weeks, fully in person, and strong performers may be converted to permanent state employment after the training period.

Required:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • High school diploma
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work 100% onsite with reliable transportation
  • Must be able to start July 27, 2026
  • Local candidates only - current city must be listed on your resume
