Enterprise AI (EAI) in Innovation Group is UOB’s AI center of excellence driving business value through impactful AI initiatives across all UOB business units. EAI achieve this by a strong focus on AI expertise and continuous project delivery while spearheading AI innovation and research. EAI also drives enterprise analytics transformation and AI/GenAI adoption in the organization.
Job Description
AI Platform Specialist will be a key member of the Data Science Platforms and Products team within EAI. In this role, you will help shape and manage our enterprise AI platform, enabling advanced Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions across the bank. This position demands a unique blend of AI engineering and data science expertise, with a strong focus on operational excellence, translating functional requirements into solutions, and supporting the development and deployment of diverse AI use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the functional SME for the AI platform, driving the definition of requirements and steering critical design choices to ensure alignment with business needs.
- Partner with technology/vendors to manage the delivery of the platform and enhancement.
- Define and implement the platform operating model, ensuring governance, security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to support the onboarding of different AI/GenAI/Agentic AI use cases onto the platform.
- Design and develop reusable libraries, frameworks, and utility tools to accelerate solution development and deployment.
- Drive user onboarding, training, and adoption of best practices across the organization.
- Monitor and analyze platform utilization, performance, and cost efficiency, providing insights for optimization.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve UOB’s AI capabilities.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 8 years in AI engineering or similar roles, with a proven track record of developing and deploying AI/GenAI/Agentic AI solutions in production environments.
- Good knowledge of AI/GenAI/Agentic AI technologies, including LLMs, context engineering, RAG, agent framework, memory management etc.
- Hands-on experience of data management technology, including Hadoop, Sparks, ETL, relational & non-relational database, vector databases and knowledge graphs.
- Familiar with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), API management, DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Proficiency in Python programming; Experience with other programming language like Java or Scala is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in banking or financial industry is a plus.
