About The Position
 We are seeking a skilled Physician specializing in Hospice/Palliative Medicine for a locum tenens position in Arizona. This 12-day assignment offers a flexible per diem schedule for monthly collaboration, starting on date 05/01/2025. The ideal candidate will serve as the Medical Director, supervising providers and offering expert guidance. Responsibilities include answering questions from nurses, providing insight, and overseeing all aspects of hospice care. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute their expertise in a dynamic hospice setting, ensuring high-quality end-of-life care for patients.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Serve as Medical Director, supervising hospice care providers
• Provide expert guidance and answer questions from nursing staff
• Offer insight and supervision over all aspects of hospice care
• Ensure compliance with hospice care standards and regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Conduct patient assessments and make appropriate recommendations
• Provide education and support to patients, families, and staff members
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Hospice MD software
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Stay current with advancements in hospice and palliative medicine
Additional Information:
• Arizona state medical license required
• Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine preferred
• Experience with Hospice MD software is beneficial
• Flexibility to work on a per diem schedule
• Potential for assignment extension
