Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8:00am - 5:00pm (ET)
Location: On-Site, Kansas City KS/Phoenix AZ Preferred (addt'l terminal locations available)

Job Responsibilities: What you will do

Purchase parts from manufacturers and suppliers as well as acquiring parts from other resources in order to maintain inventory levels appropriate for operations at assigned shops.

Issue purchase orders and purchase parts for maintenance shops in assigned region.
Monitor inventory items to identify high volume parts as well as obsolescence parts and maintain proper inventory levels. Adhere to standard internal control procedures.
Ensure accurate and timely ordering, shipping, tracking, and receiving of parts.
Maintain and update auto-generated parts procedures as necessary.
Monitor and handle parts returns.
Review warranty tags, store and organize returned parts and conduct follow up to ensure returned parts are handled appropriately.
Collaborate with internal department personnel and outside shippers/vendors as necessary.
Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.

Qualifications: What you need to bring

2+ years' experience in parts or inventory control required.
Previous experience in transportation industry preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must be proficient in looking up parts and placing online orders using appropriate OEM websites websites.
Must be able to read and understand parts manuals.
Must possess excellent data entry skills.
Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
