Corporate Counsel 

Southwest Mobile Storage Inc. is a leading provider of mobile storage solutions, serving businesses across the country. We offer innovative, secure, and flexible storage options to meet our clients’ needs. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a strategic and business-savvy Corporate Counsel to join our team. This role will provide comprehensive legal support across litigation, employment, compliance, and commercial transactions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about contributing to our company's overall business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel across litigation, customer disputes, and day-to-day business operations.
  • Advise on labor and employment matters, including conflict resolution and workplace policies.
  • Partner with senior leadership to deliver strategic legal guidance aligned with business goals.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, commercial agreements, and vendor relationships
  • Support marketing, PR, and corporate communications from a legal perspective.
  • Assist with corporate governance, Board support, and audit compliance
  • Monitor regulatory developments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel and oversee outside legal matters.
  • Counsel executives on legal risks, regulatory obligations, and compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct legal research and ensure adherence to federal and state laws, particularly in construction-related areas.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess project risks and support document execution.
  • Lead internal compliance programs and liaise with cross-functional departments.

Education and Qualifications

  • Active U.S. state bar license
  • 3–7+ years of litigation experience, including labor, employment, and commercial contracts.
  • Prior in-house counsel experience preferred, especially in commercial transactions and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of CA, AZ, TX, CO employment law and regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to support internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • High ethical standards and commitment to professional integrity
  • Collaborative mindset and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver’s license required for occasional business travel
