Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to lead our Regional Distribution Center located in Phoenix, AZ. This leader will have ownership of the associate and customer experience at Shaw’s Phoenix location. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, receiving, storing, order processing, shipping, and delivery of floor covering and related materials, and the associates involved with those processes.

Job Scope/Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of approximately 15 hourly associates, including 5 Class A CDL local delivery drivers and 10 warehouse/office associates.

  • Responsible for serving Shaw customers throughout the majority of Arizona.

  • Local inventory of various flooring products, order processing, 50+ daily Customer Pick Up transactions.

  • Manage local 3PL and outbound LTL carrier relationships.

  • Ensure a safe work environment is provided for all associates to include compliance with all DOT and OSHA requirements. 

  • Motivate associates by assisting and empowering them to achieve facility goals and implement improvement processes as needed.

  • Ensure committed customer service levels are consistently achieved, and customer concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

  • Effectively utilize transportation resources to provide delivery and pick up service to customers.

  • Must possess the ability to work closely with Sales and other business partners in meeting customer demands.

  • Responsible for maintaining communication with the West US Supply Chain Director on the performance of the facility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of logistics experience; or associate degree and 3+ years of logistics experience or High School Diploma/GED & 5-7 years of logistics management/supervisory experience.

  • Experience working with hourly associates, with the ability to guide teams toward operational success.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Customer Service, to meet customer expectations.

  • Hands-on experience managing operational processes and resolving challenges in a fast-paced environment.

  • Leadership experience with large, diverse organizations.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Well organized and detail oriented.

  • Must be willing and able to travel to regional warehouses located throughout the country as needed for meetings, training, etc.

  • Self-motivated and results oriented.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance and transportation regulations preferred.
