Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role supports operational efficiency by minimizing downtime and maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Experience working in startup environments is highly desirable, with the ability to adapt to evolving processes, equipment, and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and perform maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and production equipment to identify and correct issues.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory usage.
- Assist in the installation, setup, assembly, and commissioning of new and existing machinery and equipment.
- Perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, modification, and alignment of production equipment as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards (e.g., OSHA, company policies).
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
- Work with outside contractors and vendors when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to facility and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
- Experience working in startup companies or fast-paced, rapidly changing manufacturing environments preferred.
- Experience assembling, installing, and maintaining new and existing machinery and production equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance procedures, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance software (e.g., CMMS).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and dexterity; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions.
Work Environment
- Primarily warehouse setting.
- May involve extended periods of standing, lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
- Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and hearing protection (ear protection), at all times in designated work areas.
- Must follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by plant management.
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- HVAC certification, electrical license, or welding skills.
- Forklift operation certification.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Experience supporting equipment installations, facility expansions, or startup operations.
