Job DetailsJob Location: Phoenix, AZ 85014Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary/yearWork location 5 days per week - 4751 N 15th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014 SUMMARY The Grant and Proposal Manager supports PPAZ’s programs with funds secured from foundations, corporations, federations, and government entities. Works with the Development Director to strategize and build a strong financial base for PPAZ’s future. Educates donors regarding PPAZ’s program goals and provides good stewardship to PPAZ’s donor constituency.  General Priorities  Plans and implements, with the Development Director, CEO, and affiliate staff, a comprehensive corporate and foundation relations and       grants program with activities needed to attract, retain, and increase charitable support from corporations, foundations, governmental, and     institutional donors. Researches and matches grant opportunities for specific projects/programs. Research data and information to support grant theses and to explain the need for proposed projects/programs. Works with grant teams composed of affiliate staff to develop, prepare, and submit written proposals for funding to individual Major Gift donors, corporations, federations, and foundations, ensuring timely submission and compliance with published guidelines. Prepares and submits required support materials before deadline and fully complete. Prepares mid-cycle updates and final reports on time to all grantors. Develops and maintains strategic alliances with community and business leaders aimed at securing resources for the organization. Works with data management software to track grants and reporting requirements. Maintains an annual schedule to ensure that all foundation application deadlines are met well in advance. Communicates grant requirements to the grant team and requests feedback from the team prior to developing interim or final reports. Ensures that all institutional donors receive regular, timely, and informative reports regarding the achievements enabled by their giving; ensure that donor-required reporting is executed on a timely basis in conformance with donor requirements. Works with data management software to plan and manage a consistent reporting and assessment process to determine the effectiveness and outcomes of corporate and foundation relations programs and to maintain accountable donor relations. Supports the team environment with ideas and skills as required by team direction including, but not limited to, editing/proofreading other written materials as appropriate. Maintains confidentiality of records and personal donor and prospect information. Adheres to the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethics. Completes special projects as assigned and required Other Duties as Assigned. QualificationsEducation and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum (3) years’ experience in grant development and grant management for non-profit organizations. Healthcare experience required. Proven effectiveness in applying for, securing, and reporting on a grant's portfolio of at least $1 million annually Experience writing direct mail and other donor communications. Knowledge of budget preparation Must be proficient in proposal writing. Must be familiar with donor management databases.
