Job Description:
Role Overview
Develop turnkey mechanical and plumbing retrofit solutions for commercial customers.
Evaluate mechanical systems, facility needs, operating considerations, drawings, equipment, and job conditions to recommend repair, modification, or replacement solutions.
Build relationships with prospective and existing customers while supporting projects through estimating, proposal development, presentation, and follow-up.
Help customers understand how proposed solutions can improve facility performance and reduce long-term ownership and operating costs.
What You’ll Do
You’ll spend your time learning about customers’ facilities, understanding the technical and financial challenges they face, and shaping solutions that meet their needs. You’ll survey mechanical and plumbing systems, interpret drawings and specifications, and partner with customers and internal operations partners to define a clear project scope.
From there, you’ll develop estimates and design-build proposals that explain recommended repairs, modifications, or replacements. You’ll present solutions, respond to questions and objections, follow up on opportunities, and keep customers informed throughout the sales process. By balancing technical insight with strong relationship management, you’ll help turn facility challenges into effective, cost-conscious projects.
Review drawings and specifications to determine scope, materials, resources, costs, and project requirements.
Prepare and present customer proposals, including responses to requests for proposals and project-specific solutions.
Qualify prospective customers, respond promptly to leads and referrals, and maintain an active pipeline of quotes.
Address customer concerns and build productive relationships with customers, vendors, and other project partners.
Maintain accurate records of customer activity, proposals, and business transactions.
Why This Role Matters
You’ll help customers make informed decisions about the performance, reliability, and long-term operating costs of their facilities.
Your technical recommendations will help customers and operations teams develop a shared understanding of project needs.
You’ll build lasting customer relationships while creating new business opportunities.
Your estimates and proposals will help transform complex mechanical and plumbing needs into clear, actionable solutions.
